CertLok FAQ

Frequently asked questions about CertLok — the digital credential wallet and Work History app for skilled workers.

What is a credential wallet?

A credential wallet is an app where skilled workers store, organize, and share work credentials and certifications from a phone. CertLok is a digital credential wallet that also lets you build and share Work History from credentials and accomplishments.

What is Work History in CertLok?

Work History is a record you build from the credentials and accomplishments you keep in CertLok. You can share or send that record from your phone with employers or unions. Building Work History is part of the free wallet. Free CertLok can also format your Work History into a static résumé; CertLok Plus customizes that résumé for the recipient and job opening.

Does CertLok verify CCO certifications and Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs)?

We verify credentials like your CCO card and CDL. CCO here means a certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). CDL means Commercial Driver’s License.

Is CertLok built for skilled trades?

Yes. CertLok is for skilled workers such as crane operators, linemen, riggers, groundmen, welders, plumbers, pipefitters, shipbuilders, heavy equipment operators, and more. You can keep trade credentials and job documents together and share them from your phone.

Can free CertLok create a résumé?

Yes. Free CertLok can create a professionally formatted static résumé — the same format for everybody. It pulls from your credentials, experience, and everything you put into Work History and formats that into a document you can send as a résumé.

What is the difference between a free CertLok résumé and CertLok Plus?

Free CertLok creates a professionally formatted static résumé (same format for everybody) from your credentials, experience, and Work History so you can send it. CertLok Plus customizes the résumé format according to who you are sending it to and makes sure the language matches the job opening. In both cases, all information is still based on the Work History you entered. You can also share Work History itself from your phone.

Is it CertLok, Certlock, Certalok, or Cerlok?

It's CertLok (people sometimes spell it Certlock, Certalok, or Cerlok), the free credential wallet for construction trades. Get it on the Apple App Store or Google Play at certlok.com/download.

Is CertLok Connect the same as CertConnect?

No. CertConnect is a certification-monitoring feature in myCCO from NCCCO. CertLok Connect is a different product from Risk Data Analytics.
